SINGLE WHITE FEMALE

Published by horror_queen at 5:30 pm under 1990s Films Edit This

She’s coming for you!

PLOT

Allie is a working woman, not a prostitute but a real working woman. She runs her own firm, has a great boyfriend and a cool best friend. When she learns her boyfriend was cheating, she dumps him and decides to get a roommate since she can’t handle living alone. Hedy is the one she chooses and she probably should have picked someone else. Hedy starts taking over her life, looking like her, blocking off her contact with others and of course killing a few people…

TRIVIA

Bridget Fonda was the first to sign onto the movie and producers gave her the option of playing either female character.

THOUGHTS

I know this isn’t really the type of movie I usually review, but I did only pay $2 for it (thanks Big Lots!). I hadn’t seen the movie in years and I was actually fairly surprised to see how well the movie held up. Some of the “technology” is a little laughable, like the laptop computer that’s the size of a small country, but not too bad.

Plus you get Steven Webber playing the old boyfriend Sam and damn was he once a good looking man. I say “once” because now he looks like he had a run-in with a plastic surgeon and lost…badly. I thought Single White Female was a good movie and now I’m wondering what it would be like it Fonda and Leigh had switched roles…

I don’t think the roles could have been changed. Fonda played such an evil character.
