Exactly what you would expect from a movie made in 1966.

THE PLOT

Dr. Stephen Arrowsmith kills his wife after learning she’s been cheating on him with their gardener. A few years pass and he helps himself to her step-sister, a young naïve woman that everyone says is mentally unstable. However she does have all her sister’s money and he wants that money to create a life with his mistress. The new wife starts seeing the ghost of her sister and her sister’s lover in the house. Is she really crazy or is she actually seeing things?

FUN TRIVIA

This movie was released under at least seven different names depending on the location. One of the more unusual names was Orgasmo.

THOUGHTS/OPINIONS

I have to say that I wasn’t too crazy about this movie. Trying to watch it was like pulling teeth with me because I could only sit through a few minutes at a time and never longer than 20 minute chunks, which is a little sad. Then again the copy I had was incredibly grainy and hard to see the action as it unfolded. There were a few good scenes, but mainly I thought it was overacted and boring. Sorry if you’re a fan, but maybe you can tell me what I’m missing!
