FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 4 AKA THE FINAL CHAPTER
Did anyone really believe this was the end of Jason Vorhees?
THE PLOT
Jason supposedly died at the end of the last movie, but that’s becoming par for the course. He wakes up and sets out towards his old hometown. At the same time a group of teens are heading out to the lake for the summer to do a little partying, among them Crispin Glover playing the guy that just wants to get laid. There’s also a teenage girl Trisha and her little brother Tommy Jarvis played by Corey Feldman who are spending time at the lake with their mother. Trisha naturally bonds with the group of teens, until Jason decides to make his mark.
FUN TRIVIA
One of the characters in the film was named Rob Dier to connect this movie to Friday the 13th part 2. Rob mentions his sister who was killed by Jason in that movie.
THOUGHTS/OPINIONS
This movie could be good, but then there’s that little annoying Corey kid. Honestly that’s the one thing I remember very clearly from this movie, how annoying he was over the years. There are some people who love his character, but I’m obviously not one of them. I kept waiting for Jason to kill him off, but instead Jason apparently bonded with him instead.
My favorite scene is when Crispin Glover’s character finally gets his death scene. It’s a little funny, which is exactly what it should be. This isn’t the best film in the series, but at least it tries.
