INSANITARIUM

Somehow I don’t see my brother doing this for me…
THE PLOT
Jack’s sister Lily has always had psychological problems, but after she attempts suicide she finds herself locked away in an institution. Jack then fakes his own psychological problems so he can get sent away and hopefully rescue his sister. Once there he discovers that the doctors are giving patients some type of new medicine that actually turns them into flesh eating zombies.
FUN TRIVIA
Jeff Buhler who directed and wrote the film also wrote the screenplay for Midnight Meat Train. Peter Stormare who plays the doctor previously jumped into the world of horror movies with a role in 2001 Maniacs.
THOUGHTS/OPINIONS
I should have known that this movie would be bad considering that the top billed actor was Jesse Metcalfe. This guy has been playing the same character since his time on the daytime soap “Passions”. He’s a little too young to be a one note actor and yet that’s all he is. His voice remains exactly the same throughout the entire movie, which is a big distraction. Jesse angry, Jesse sad, Jesse distraught…it all sounds exactly the same.
The only good thing in this movie is Peter Stormare and unfortunately his role isn’t as big as it probably should have been. Had he appeared a little more and Metcalfe a little less, this might have been a slightly better movie. Luckily for me I didn’t pay money to see this movie; if I had, I probably would have been a lot less happy.

Thanks for the heads up! My best friend keeps telling me to go see this. He’s on anti-depressants and keeps sneaking raw hamburger from the fridge, whenever he visits. Now, I get it.
